The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to sleep with their newborn while ensuring they are safe to sleep. The smooth glide motion helps to soothe your baby to sleep. Its innovative features let you monitor them without having to leave your own bed.
The cot's sliding side panel raises and lowers at the press of a button, making it a breeze to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed and it has adjustable folding feet to ensure it sits at just the right level.
The cot is cushioned, has mesh sides that allow for more the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It can also be cleaned, so you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is due to the clips and straps that attach it. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.
One thing to bear in mind is that although this crib is perfect for babies, it won't last long after your child is six months old, so you'll require an additional cot. However, overall Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a excellent purchase and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that the grey shade is a good fit for modern homes. She did mention that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it can cause a bad sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or when traveling.
We love that it's made from soft materials with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. bedside crib to cot is available in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure baby safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support number if you run into any problems.
Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib for your bed that include the ability to attach to your bed using a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to aid congestion or reflux in babies. It is also machine-washable essential for all the spills and vomit that can be found in a newborn baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option if you want to keep your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive options. It does have many excellent features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides that can be moved up and down with just one push of the button. This was particularly helpful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel itself but this is not recommended because it increases the chance that your child could get out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism means that it can only remain in place when it is attached to the bed of the parent correctly. This is a wonderful feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It's also very large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's quite mobile and can be moved from room to room with ease. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't move as much as the other models, making it slightly harder to see your baby from your own bed.

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice when you're looking for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a sleeper crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and strengthening your bond with your new born.
Unlike some other models of bedside crib like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to ease reflux and colic, while the zip down side allows you to feed or comfort your baby throughout the night.
The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to get started. It took us about an hour to assemble and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that some images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. However, overall it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials used was excellent.
In the co-sleeping position, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, as it allows them to easily reach out to their newborn for feeding and comfort without having to leave their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down to sleep.
During our testing, we found the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be extremely useful in lulling babies back to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test mums. While it doesn't rock or come with extra features such as an audio system, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
